Description

Circular, silver with some varnished colour medal, linked to a suspender by a small ring which passes through a small fixed ring at the top of the medal. One face has seven marching figures depicted , the reverse shows the coat of arms of canada. The ribbon has a royal blue center flaked by two equal stipes of scarlet red and dark green. Has CVSM CLASE stamped on storage box

Bomber command bar was awarded to canadian veterans who, regardless of rank or role, served a minimum of one day with bomber command between spetember 3,1939- May 8, 1945. Medals and papers from veterans affairs for W.J.J. (Walter John James) Williams. Includes medals earned during his time in service, notice of K.I.A status from the Canadian Government, newspaper clippings of W.J.J's regiment, and photographs of Walter and Louisa before Walter went to war.
