Spall Item Number: 2023.O.007:17 from the Sto:lo Research & Resource Management Centre

Description

A large cortex spall, the dorsal face is entirely made up of smooth light grey cortex with tiny varying shades of grey particles throughout. There's a dark grey square on the centre of the dorsal face. The ventral face is exposed but unworked save for the inital removal process; it's a medium dull grey with a coarse grain. Just below the black ink, on the ventral surface shows a single point of impact with a slightly raised bulb of percussion, a single flake ridge, and some light negative scarring. Some negative scarring along the outer jagged edge, too.
