Fragment Item Number: 2023.O.007:19 from the Sto:lo Research & Resource Management Centre
A medium sized slate fragment, possibly a thumnail scraper. The belonging is a light grey with a very fine grain. The ends are rounded, and the spine near the catalogue number is thick, the body gradually tapers down to a thinner edge. Both faces are smooth, either from being sanded down or use-wear. The dorsal face has a rough patch of exposed surface near the thinner edge. The ventral face has a little more texture than the dorsal surface.

Collected by Cyril Holbrow throughout his lifetime (1921-2021,) Found while living on his farming properties- he was a naturalist and knew the area very well. He donated his finds to the Clayburn Village Community Society.
