Maul Item Number: 2023.O.007:26 from the Sto:lo Research & Resource Management Centre
A large hand maul base fragment. The belonging is a light grey, and the exposed surface has a fine grain. The maul has an overall polished/sanded down appearance. The base has a defined brim with a flat band going around. Some use-wear present along the slightly convexed base, and along the centre of the base. This belonging has a strong structure, and stem.

Collected by Cyril Holbrow throughout his lifetime (1921-2021,) Found while living on his farming properties- he was a naturalist and knew the area very well. He donated his finds to the Clayburn Village Community Society.
