Maul Item Number: 2023.O.007:28 from the Sto:lo Research & Resource Management Centre
A very large hand maul base fragment. The belonging is a desaturated beige with a fine grain, it has been sanded down but some light texture remains. The base gradually pools out before abruptly sloping to form a thick band that goes all around the base. The base is entirely flat with some use-wear present along the edges and flat bottom.
No other supporting documentation for this collection have been recorded.

Collected by Cyril Holbrow throughout his lifetime (1921-2021,) Found while living on his farming properties- he was a naturalist and knew the area very well. He donated his finds to the Clayburn Village Community Society.
