Description

A large grooved anchor stone. The belonging is overall beige with some off-white, black, grey, and quartz inclusions and a coarse grain. A groove has been carved in the middle, extending all the way around. Some light previous surface scarring, and use-wear along the proximal portion.

Collected by Cyril Holbrow throughout his lifetime (1921-2021,) Found while living on his farming properties- he was a naturalist and knew the area very well. He donated his finds to the Clayburn Village Community Society.
