Cobble Chopper Item Number: 2023.O.007:36 from the Sto:lo Research & Resource Management Centre
A large cobble chopper with smooth light beige cortex. The belonging's exposed surface is beige with a fine grain. The dorsal face is covered in cortex with off-white/light grey scarring, and a patch of saturated bright tan near the shorter edge. Some use-wear present along the jagged semi-straight edges, with a bit of missing fragmented cortex along the point. The ventral face is also half covered with cortex, and some surface scarring. Some flake scarring present on the ventral face.

Collected by Cyril Holbrow throughout his lifetime (1921-2021,) Found while living on his farming properties- he was a naturalist and knew the area very well. He donated his finds to the Clayburn Village Community Society.
