Moccasin Item Number: 2023.O.007:39 from the Sto:lo Research & Resource Management Centre
A single unit of a child's moccassin. A flower has been beaded onto the tip, orange outer petals with white inner petals, and a pink anther in the middle with some green leaves/vines extending out, and red accent beads nearby. The heel tab shows signs of light fraying, and weathering, and the heel counter has collapsed. Part of the raw hide ties have crumbled off, but a majority remains intact. Some of the material shows light signs of fading and thinning. Some of the threading on the left side is separating. The sole shows signs of use-wear.

Collected by Cyril Holbrow throughout his lifetime (1921-2021,) Found while living on his farming properties- he was a naturalist and knew the area very well. He donated his finds to the Clayburn Village Community Society.
