Description

A hanging scroll painting of a rural scene with mountains in the far distance, and houses, trees, and a winding river in the middle ground where workers are engaging in rice planting. In the foreground, there is an open balcony where a woman is weaving while others are attending to household chores. Predominant colours are green, brown, and pink. Unsigned. The painting has a cream-coloured border of patterned fabric with blue-grey patterned fabric at the top and at the bottom. There is a semi-cylindrical rod at the top with a brown string attached by metal wire. There is a cylindrical rod weight at the bottom covered with a multi-toned blue patterned fabric.
