Description

Coiled cedar root tray with handles. Simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches), and watch-spring base construction. Side of tray consists of one slat with an overcast splint rim which is not connected to tray in two places in order to create handles. Decorated with partial imbrication - diamonds outlined in either red or black-dyed cherry bark with centres of cat-tail grass (three are outlined in black and six in red). There are triangles (vertex down) on the exterior sides beaded in red cherry bark. The rim is also beaded in red cherry bark. Colour: tan.
