Description

Flat-back coiled cedar root basket with lid; lid had a semicircular opening in the centre and is attached to the basket by two buckskin thongs. Simple coiled work with parallel splint base construction. Partial imbrication; design of "bird-like" forms in black and white, red/black and white, red and black. Lid has "wing" motifs. Colour: tan.
