Ornament Item Number: C168 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
A large flat white circular piece, creating a bracelet-like effect.
Originally used as currency.
According to Burnett, he found this piece, along with other shell ornaments etc. while exploring coral cliffs on the coast, near the Morovo Lagoon, with Mr. Bennett. He said there were many caves that had been converted to 'tambo' shrines, where he found "... many propitiatory offerings..." and was able "... to add to my curio collection..."
