Collector card said, "tool: with inset of two small blades used to shred cedar bark."

Narrative

Objects A4384 through A4396 were recorded as having been collected in 1938 by a student who was researching West Coast basketry for a paper. The items show various stages of basketry mat weaving, and include one of the tools used, as well as several samples of basketry materials.
