Description

Two brass rifle cartridges, open at both ends, joined by forcing smaller into larger. Smaller end placed in mouth. Burrs are stuffed close to this end to keep tobacco from mouth.

History Of Use

Smoking pipe, stuffed with burrs which act as a filter. Pipes are held between the thumb and forefinger. Crumbled leaf tobacco is smoked.
