Long, rectangular cotton textile made of woven narrow strips, sewn together and embroidered. The decoration consists of a grey ground with geometric designs embroidered in red, black and brown intermixed and overlapping with stripes of red, black and blue. There is one section with a repeating blue elephant design.
Two figures representing a man, and a woman playing oware game which is in between them. The figures are sitting on a cylindrical object tapering upward. The knees are bent so that the legs are angled frontward and outward. Their hands are extended outward toward the game. Clothes are of a lighter wood colour than the body. Carved in pieces which are then glued together. On a wood base.
Standing wood figure (ibeji). Head is capped with a bright blue pigment on the conical headdress. Cap is decorated with diagonal ridges. Seven tribal scarification marks on the cheeks, four of which are horizontal while the other three are vertically above the horizontal. Extended arms have hands touching thighs. Has very short legs in relation to body and the feet are large. Stands on circular pedestal. Beads around neck and hips. Covered with red camwood paste.
White human male mask with a blue moustache and eyebrows and red eyes and mouth. Style is naturalistic.
Red-brown round pot with a spherical shape on the base. Three circular ridges are around the sides with incised semi-circles above.
A long wood piece carved with three kneeling figures on top of each other and crowned with a cone. There is a clapper in the hollowed out bottom.
Round, red-brown gourd container with a flaring mouth. Design consists of six panels with incised horizongtal line patterns that include zig zags and cross hatching with a z form below. Mouth has a central horizontal zig zag line surrounded by a pair of black lines above and below. Lines are painted black. Neck is black. Has a skin strap around the neck.
Headdress, or mask, depicting a human face with pointed lips, stylized ears, and raised rows of hair with incised lines, and three incised almond-shaped clan scarifications on the cheeks as well as the forehead. A chicken is depicted sitting on top of the the figure's head with its wings relaxed downwards, tail pointing upwards, and legs dangling down at the back of the head. The headdress is painted with white eyes, a white scalp with black hair, blue scarifications, and alternating white and blue bands delineate the chicken's feathers.
Red-brown round pot with a spherical shape on the base. Three decorative concave knobs are on the top with a circular handle in the middle of the top and a pointed spout. The upper portion around these decorative knobs and spout has a main design that consists of incised line patterns around the top which are painted red and black.
