Blanket3295/42

Finely hand woven blanket composed of three separately woven pieces which have been stitched together. The blanket is divided into seven wide bands of solid colours running down the length. At centre is a wide band of gold yellow, then on either side is a deep red, then beige, and then a deep brownish-purple on the outer edges.

Small finely woven square bag. Body composed of two squares, stitched together on three sides, a long thin rectangular strap and three brown, black and white pompoms evenly spaced along the bottom of the bag. The body of the bag is black, with three bands of brown, grey and black lines and designs running vertical. The strap is black and brown with a brown line dotted by white running down the centre line.

Small square finely woven textile with a tassel of light and dark brown extending from each corner. The band through the centre features a geometric design in dark brown on light brown, with a contrasting strip through the centre in medium brown and purple. Bordered by solid grey bands, and then a smaller band of a broken zigzag pattern. The remaining textile is light brown.

Carrying Band3295/51

Rectangular woven textile with two braided ties extending out on either side. The textile is composed of multiple pieces of weaving, stitched together. The two main rectangular pieces are attached along the edges with loop-stitching, leaving a small opening at the centre along a long edge. One side is solid brown except for stripes of red and dark blue running horizontal. The reverse side is three embroidered squares with geometric patterns, divided by solid bands of red.

Long woven table runner. Down the centre and running the length of the textile, a wide band of diamond designs in dark brown, light grey and white. Then, bands of pink, and then edged with thinner bands of grey-green. The edges are finished with embroidered diamond designs.

Textile3295/44

Finely woven textile composed of two rectangular pieces sewn together. Down the centre line extends a band of burgundy-purple with small flowers of various colours. On either side, a band of chevron-style zigzags in beige, yellow, dark green and dark purple. Six solid bands of dark blue-black or black with dotted lines of colourful stitching separating each design. The main body of the textile is solid brown. The textile is edged with a band of burgundy, and one edge has pink triangular stitching.

Woven tunic (cushma) with hand-drawn geometric design. The tunic is composed of two long, rectangular panels folded in half, and then stitched together on the sides. There is an opening at the top for a head, and on the sides for arms. Down both sides, bands composed of thin vertical stripes of orange, blue, yellow, pink and light blue. Down the centre, are two bands, on either side of the stitching, composed of wide green stripes and thin lines of various colours.

Open-work, rectangular textile. Fine white thread has been twisted to create a mesh grid, with patterning appllied by in-filling squares of the mesh across large areas. Patterns include lines, zigzags, collections of squares, and key patterns. What remains of the edges has been finished.
