Square ceramic tile with stylized floral motif painted on front. Surface is glazed. Background is light brown. Central design of two dark yellow flowers with large olive green leaves. Leaves curve up and around the flowers. Intertwined with the leaves are light blue-green curvilinear designs. Seven vertical ridges on back of tile. Inscription stamped in between ridges.

Square ceramic tile with abstract floral motif carved in slight relief across front. Surface is glazed. Background painted dark brown. Central design of two mint green flower-like shapes with blue centres. Large blue, layered oval in between the two flower-like shapes. Flowers share a single olive green stem that splits at the bottom, and curves back upwards, towards the flowers. Six horizontal ridges and four circles indented in each corner on back of tile. Inscription stamped between ridges.

Square ceramic tile with floral motifs painted on front. Surface and sides are glazed. Two dark red lines act as a border, a wide band towards the edge and a much thinner one towards the centre. Central design of olive green, vine-like shapes forming a diamond. Eight arms extend from diamond, forming a cross and an “X” shape. The ends of the cross arms have blooming, dark red flowers. The ends of “X” shape arms are large dark red flowers surrounded by three olive green leaves. The leaves touch the corners of the tile. Small circle and large circular outline imprinted on back of tile. Inscription on back.

Square ceramic tile with geometric and floral motifs painted on front. Surface is glazed, sides are partially glazed. Background is white. Across front are two rows of large flower-like shapes, done in black, with more flower motifs inside them done in dark yellow. The large flower-like shapes have rounded edges. Between the rows are smaller flower-like shapes, done in black, with pointed edges. All flower-like shapes, large and small, outlined in dark yellow and connected together with lines, forming a diamond-like grid overtop the white background, in dark yellow. Dark yellow dots throughout grid. Sides of tile undecorated. Twenty three holes, four rows of five and one row of three, indented on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped on back.

Teapot3433/14 a-b

Lidded teapot with bamboo handle. The seven-sided teapot has a light grey with black glaze. The rim is unglazed and dark red-brown. The curved handle is attached by a small loop behind the spout, and another on the opposite side of mouth. Each end of the handle is folded back upon itself and secured with a small braided band. The recessed lid has a small knob handle.

Small bowl form curves from foot, flaring out sharply to a lip; raised foot; body, light pink-orange colour, with dark red-brown around the rim. The exterior of the bowl has a light pink-orange colour, with a band of darker pink-orange above the foot. Artist's stamped mark, 'CJ' within a circle, on exterior of low foot.

Tall, round bowl with a mottled off-white glaze that transforms through a grey division into a mottled light teal-grey, and off-white rim. The body is globular in shape with a sharp taper into a small, circular base. The base has several adhesive labels.

Jug3433/13 a-b

Small jug (part a) with a lid (part b) in a grey glaze. The jug has a globular body that flares out slightly to the lip. There is a rounded spout with loop handle opposite. Around the rim, just below the lip on the interior are thin bands of orange-red. The same orange-red colour is apparent on the unglazed foot. The recessed lid has a small loop handle.
