Fan covered with light brown paper on one side and painted with a landscape scene and six characters. Upper edge is covered with very sticky cellophane tape.

Oval, trough-like container; open at both ends, long sides turned up. All over design on underside, curvilinear and burned. Grease stains and signs of wear at open ends.

Fan face is rice paper with small pastoral scene painted at the centre top with seven writing characters on the left side of the face. Attached to the metal rivet, there are two light blue-green tassels, 25 cm. long, including the cord.

Abstract design painted in light brown on the parent ribs. One side of the fan is covered with light brown paper, unpainted. To the ring on the rivet, there is attached a knotted purple silk cord, 23 cm. long, on which there is threaded a carnelian carving of a monkey holding a peach (missing as of 2006). Below the monkey, there hangs a flat knotted tassel of purple silk bound with multi-coloured thread.

Small round gourd container (parts a), extensively incised with patterns burned with semi-circular design running along the top edge. Parallel lines run from collar to base with a circle detailed at the bottom. Gourd is pale orange with black markings. Circular, disc shaped, basketry lid (part b); small handle made of a thick piece of leather.

Carved, cylindrical wooden handle with curved, triangular metal blade inserted into knotted end. Flat end of the blade is sharpened at the top. Opposite end is pointed and set into the wood at a right angle.

Thin, twisted sinew cords knotted to form a loop. Five wooden sticks decorated with a band twisting diagonally along its length which is burned into the surface, are strung on the cord through holes drilled at each tapered end.
