An apron-like cover, made of rabbit skin, is secured around the front of the tortoise shell. It is tied in place with straps knotted through holes drilled in the back of the shell. Additional straps remain loose. Hanging from the bottom edge of the rabbit skin are rows of alternating plant fibre and ostrich egg shell beads. Back of shell is uncovered; brown-red plant fibre is adhered to the back bottom edge. Interior of shell is stuffed with plant fibre.

Silver container shaped like a standing crane. The bird has its head tucked back, and is standing on its right leg, with the left slightly raised. There is a small bowl inset in the bird's back between its folded wings. There is a maker's mark on the base.

Silver container (part a) with lid (part b). The circular compartment is mounted on an ornate stand with a four-legged base, and tall flame-like superstructure. The compartment is mounted vertically, and has a raised dragon design on both the front and back. Along the upper edge of the compartment and its lid are holes.

Silver container (part a) with glass insert (part b). The container has a bulbous body with concave neck. The sides are decorated with two raised dragons designs, with their long, wavy bodies wrapping around the side. The bowl sits on three globular feet, with a thin, flat handle extending from the back. The lid is hinged, with a small rectangular cutout at the front, pointed knob at centre, and a low relief dragon design wrapping around the lid. The glass insert fits snugly in the bowl of the container. Two makers' marks on base, including WH90.

The flat top surface is covered with small holes, and has a tall peg extending out off-centre. The base has a circular concave plug with handle at centre (part b). The sides are decorated with vertical lines, and three horizontal bands evenly spaced, and four flower decorations. Extending up on opposite sides are two flat, vertical arms with a crossbar at the top connecting the two. There is a maker's mark on the base.

The container is shaped like a four-petaled flower in cross-section, that tapers in from top to bottom, and stands on a raised base of the same shape. Each convex side has a different panel containing cherry blossoms or bamboo. The glass insert sits snugly within the bowl, and has the same flower-shape. Two makers' marks on base, including WH90.

The sides are decorated with three raised cherry blossom designs, with the branch of each extending down to form each of the three feet. There is one inset rectangular panel with a raised design. Small silver barrel-like container (part a) with small shallow bowl, and removable tube container (part b) with lid (part c). The container is oval shaped, with vertical lines on the side, and two horizontal bands of rope at both the top and bottom. On each of the long sides there are two crests within circles.
