Narrative

This printed is signed 専太郎画 (Sentaro-ga) and was featured in the English language magazine Japan Today and Tomorrow (1937, No. 9), designed to educate the reader about Japan, its culture, politics, businesses etc., and published by Osaka Mainichi Publishing Co. The magazine is fully illustrated with many black and white photographs and seven full page colour illustration, including this woodblock print by Iwata Sentaro.
