Iwata Sentaro (岩田専太郎; June 8, 1901 – February 19, 1974) was a Japanese illustrator and artist born in Tokyo. He studied with Itō Shinsui (伊東深水; see MOA collection: Ed5.1485 and N2.1266). He produced numerous illustrations for magazines and books, and is said to have produced about 60,000 illustrations in his life. He is known for his bijin-ga (‘beautiful person picture’).
