Narrative
This print, entitled Junrei (巡礼; Pilgrims) by Wada Sanzō (和田三造) is from the series, Showa shokugyō ezukushi (昭和職業絵尽; Occupations of Shōwa Japan in pictures), originally published by Nishinomiya shoin (西宮書院) in 1939 –1941. The original version has hand-written print and series titles. This print, published by Kyoto hanga-in (京都版画院), is from a later edition. The print is signed 三造 (Sanzō) with his seal in red and is marked with the publisher’s seal, 版元京都版画院 (Hanmoto Kyoto hanga-in).
