Mallet Item Number: 2753/1 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Description
Wooden mallet. Rectangular head has two curved lines carved into both ends and concave indents on both of the wider side hitting surfaces. At the bottom end of the handle is a small face with raised eyes and carved nostrils and mouth.
Narrative
Mallet made and used by artist to make his clan pole (2683/1 -in the Museum collection) while he was in residency at the Museum.
