Description
Flat, rectangular, light-coloured basket or purse with two long braided grass straps knotted together at the ends. Ends of the vertical strands are left exposed along the bottom in a thick fringe. Shiny strands of blue, yellow and orange are interwoven to create several diagonal bands.
Narrative
A gift from CUSO and Tweedy Malayson to the collector in honour of her collaborative work in the Pacific Islands.
