Description

Small bull figurine with stylized features, trunk fairly thin and narrow with rather thick extremities. Head is triangular in shape when viewed from above with long upcurving horns. Colour is a uniform dark green patina.

Presumably served as a votive offering.

Narrative

This collection was said to have been acquired by James George during his service in Greece (Athens) from 1945-48. J.W. Hayes thought the figurine was likely Archaic, possibly Mycenaean.
