Description
Woven leaf fan with alternating sections of red and gold fringe. There is a band of red leaf material in between the top of the handle and at the bottom of the body of the fan. Between the fringe and the body of the fan is a sewn-on diagonally woven strip with alternating sections that are red and black coloured diamond shapes.
Narrative
The documentation from the Sisters of Saint Ann Museum says this was acquired by Mr. and Mrs. Coubeaux in 1942, from Rarotonga.
