Arch shaped stone sculpture surmounted by Buddha figure and two flanking birds. The arch is carved with symmetrically arranged zigzag motif. Inside the arch are deeply cut figures of Buddha with his right arm raised and two flanking disciples. Above them is another smaller arch echoing the larger one. On top of this are two crouching figures flanking a central alms bowl on a pedestal.
Probably formed part of a Gandharan temple, serving as an object of worship.
Buddha seated with arms folded represents teaching. Buddha standing with right armed raised represents fear not. Alms bowl is symbol of the monkhood.
