Description
Large round shallow ladle with protruding handle. Handle has a carving of a bird resting on it. There is a red and yellow rectangular label near the end of the handle closest to the bowl of the ladle that states: "Cocoanut Spoon Honolulu," in black capital letters.
Iconographic Meaning
The bird figure on the handle of this spoon may be representative of a Hawaiian Crow or ‘Alalā.
