Earthenware figure of a young man sitting on a stump holding a large white two-part container (sweetmeat dish) on his knees. Red coat, green hat, blue trousers, white stockings. White container has red floral motifs on sides. Figure is hollow with a factory mark on base.
This figure holding a sweetmeat dish was made during the heyday of the Holíč factory and marks the transition between pieces made for practical use and those intended as purely sculptural works.
