Miniature Shoes Item Number: Ci21 a-b from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Description
Pair of carved soapstone miniature shoes with medium-high square heels and high vamps. Inscription carved down vamp, "T.P.O.W." look like laces. Seams and designs are etched with dark brown marks. Zig-zag marks around ankles. Part (a) has initials "TIBR" (?) carved into one side.
Narrative
Made by Turkish prisoners of war during WWI
