Fish Hook Item Number: 1060/31 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

The fish hook is white-yellow in colour and has brown fibre cording bunched together and attached at the narrow end of the hook through two holes. Above the holes, there is a blue circular stone(?) inlay that is raised slightly against the hook's surface. The wider end of the fish hook has a metal hook protruding from its base. On both sides of the wider side of the fish hook there is a row of three grey stone inlays, one of which is missing. On the underside of the hook at the wider end, there are two blue stone(?) inlays, and directly below is a circular metal inlay which is the underside of the metal hook from the top. Below that, there is a larger T-shaped stone inlay that has two lines extending to the right and left of the base.
