Description
Sculpture of a human face and neck attached to a grey stone base (part b). Hair is textured, eyes are slanted, mouth is closed, and base widens towards the bottom.
Narrative
Purchased in Athens by James George c. 1945-48 when he was there setting up the Canadian embassy. The piece is in the style of an early 5th century BCE kore, but is likely a copy made by a late 19th century student sculptor.
