Strands of yellow and black beads separated by large round white beads. There are beaded loops on each end. Round cream coloured button attached to one of the beaded strands.
History Of Use
Buttons closely around neck with long strands hanging down at the front.
Narrative
Probably a South Nguni origin, based on the colours of the beads (Xhosa, Mfengu, Mpondo, Mpondomise, Hlubi, Bhaca, Bomvana or Thembu people.)
