Union College was established in 1927 by the United Church of Canada. It was on the campus of, and affiliated with, the University of BC. In 1971 the Vancouver School of Theology (UBC) was established, as an amalgamation of the Anglican Theological College and Union College of British Columbia. The two colleges had existed side-by-side prior to the amalgamation.
