Description

Carved wooden carnival mask depicting a man's head surmounted with a rooster. The rooster is facing the same direction as the man, with its body and head extending forward and its tail extending back. The rooster's legs extend down the sides of the man's face, which has a protruding nose and a slightly open mouth showing pointed teeth. The rooster's tail, wings, eyebrows and the man's hair and eyebrows are all indicated by a dark brown burnt decoration. There is one metal hook on the base front and one on the tail.
