Wolf Mask Item Number: 3578/1 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Carved and painted wolf mask. The wolf's head is large and heavy, with a wide forehead, strong jaws and a long, blunt muzzle with black nose. The face is painted grey, with lighter grey markings. The eyes are cutout, and shows the red painted on the back of the mask. The wide mouth has bared teeth, and large triangular ears sit on either side of the face.

Narrative

This mask was created by Dumoi while he was a visiting artist at MOA, in 2016. He gave the mask to Ken Mayer in thanks for their time spent together.
