Description

Brown leather belt, backed with grey rawhide; three different sized leather pockets, with silver coloured snap closures; leather holster, hangs slightly below belt, has one snap closure. Silver buckle with two silver prongs which fit into one of the six pairs of brown eyelets on the opposite end of belt. Yellow stitching decorates the front of the belt around edges and around pockets. The holster has decorative stitching in a swirl fashion.

History Of Use

Part of the gaucho's traditional dress, worn with a wide-brimmed hat, loose trousers, spurred boots, and a knife and pistol carried in the belt. The pockets were used to carry bullets. The cowboys would be seen across the grasslands of southern Brazil.
