Description

Light woode shaft cut near the mid-point of the shaft and joined with a plug. Several notches cut in the shaft near the join. Spearhead has elongated black iron blade. Base of the blade hammered around the shaft. Butt end of the spear has flattened blade hammered to the shaft.

History Of Use

Used for hunting.

Narrative

Usually made by local iron monger. Shaft cut by collector to facilitate transportation to North America.
