Description
An ovoid blade with a flat perpendicular handle which is bent over to form a loop at the top.
History Of Use
The shallow, crescent-shaped blade with central handle is typical of Inca tumi knives (Bingham). Examples from Machu Picchu have exactly the same form. It is probably a ceremonial knife rather than a weapon as it appears in Inca scenes of sacrifice.
