Two-sided sharp metal point inserted in round wood shaft and bound with sinew. Shaft's end is rounded.

History Of Use

Bow drill used on ivory or bone. The cord on the bow is wrapped around the drill which is whirled when bow is moved. Mouthpiece often placed over end of drill and whirled from mouth.
