Wedge shaped harpoon head with round socket extending in from centre bottom. Line hole at centre is at a right angle to socket hole, meeting it at the top. Channel runs down on either side of line hole. Blade slot cuts across top of rounded head. Bottom has rounded tang on one side. Both sides are slightly convex, longitudinal cracks along tang side.
Toggling harpoons are used to hunt large sea mammals because they penetrate beneath the hide and the blubber, thus securing the prey.
