Samples of hand made off-white Bedfordshire straight bobbin lace edging with the design elements outlined in heavier thread (gimp): (a) a long band of lace with a scalloped edge and a gimp zigzag design; (b) a band of lace; (c) a short band of lace with a scalloped edge and a design consisting of a series of circles with three arms of thread extending upwards at the area where one circle joins the next.
