Description

Set of approximately 165 steel straight pins. The pointed ends are a slightly different colour and appear to have been sharpened.

History Of Use

These pins were used to hold the threads in place during the process of lace making. The operator would place a pin in each perforation of the pattern, to anchor the threads in the proper place as the design is made. As the design is completed, the pins are removed.
