Description

Woven, brown wool tie made with a central repeating design of a brown horse ? on a cream ground. The ends are bound with ties followed by four twisted stands. Three of four the strands separate into two further pieces. Each strand is bound with a cylindrical piece of wool in blue, cream, navy, red and green.

Narrative

The men who still wear their hair in a single braid starting at the nape of the neck braid the woven band into it and let the wrapped pom-poms extend below the braid. Rarely seen anymore because many men no longer wear their hair in a braid.
