Description
Narrow woven strip with long braided ties at each end. Hand woven in cotton with brown, black, blue, and red line design.
History Of Use
In the collector's catalogue, this belt was listed as a tumpline [for carrying baskets], collected at Cultus Lake. It was later identified as a spirit dancer's belt and removed from public display, however others who have seen it were uncertain if it was a belt or a tumpline, so there is still uncertainty around its original use.
