One checker plaited basketry fragment, with a decorative band of plain twining and the selvage is present. It is possibly red cedar. This basket was adopted by Drs. Sandra Jo and Richard B. Counts on 12/31/2008 through the Adopt-a-Basket Program. Their $100 donation funded the conservation treatment and rehousing of this fragment. Treatment and rehousing were completed on 3/23/2009. A.
