Description

Two pieces of cordage, one is z-twisted, one is knotted. On previous tag in a separate bag written in black ink "45KI8/170", in pencil "3-3/ AF-147" and "0.7" (on the back). Field Catalog Form lists the provenience as Unit 3, Level 3, Vert. 29", Description as "Z-twist; one knotted. Two pieces cordage". Artifact Record Notebook 1 lists #147 as "Cordage, 2 strand, Unit: 5S1 (Note: the previous tag and Field Catalog indicate 3-3), Surf. D: 3" above datum (Note: Field Catalog Form indicates 29"), 3.8' from 5, 1.6' from 6, Harmon, 7/20, Remarks: assoc w small fire area; bones, flakes, reed & grass matting, and ash (black, & dark grey)."
