Description

Ceramic human figure. Oversized head with large round ears, large mouth, large nose and close set eyes. On top of head is some type of hat. Figure is wearing a yoke-like garment that fits over the shoulders with a skirt underneath. Left arm is missing, while right arm sticks out. Tip of right foot is broken off, while left foot sticks out. Back of figure is flat and devoid of human qualities. Ceramic peg sticks out from back to form a tripod with feet, on which the figure stands.

Narrative

Said to have been given to Harry Hawthorn by a Mexican UBC student in 1948.
