Description

Metal human figure with thin bent arms holding a long gun and carrying a cut metal dagger and pouch around the waist. He's portrayed as wearing a printed cloth and kneeling on one knee, while shooting. Hair protrudes from the back of the head in a point. Metal attachment with hole on right foot.

Narrative

Purchased by Audrey Hawthorn in London at Berkley Galleries, in 1959. Described as a Dahomey brass figure.
