Description

Seven beads of various sizes, shapes and materials: 1 medium-size dull blue, irregular spherical shape, glass; 1 small, light blue, tubular, glass; 1 very small, bright blue, hexagonal, glass; 1 very small bright blue, spherical, glass; 1 very small, clear glass; 1 medium, oblong, green and yellow ceramic; 1 small, iridescent seashell, drilled for stringing. Wrapped together in a bundle.

History Of Use

Beads are attached by means of a loop of steel wire, in groups of 4 to 8, to the ends of each bobbin to add weight. This keeps the bobbin in place as the lace maker tosses it under and over the surrounding threads.
